Thank you! I'm really happy you're loving my favorite elements about the piece too. And I love some bright colors. Though I have to make sure with big abstract collage pieces like this I wanted to make sure there were lighter color areas for the eye to kind of rest. Which, that's why there are the blue bars.

I say go for it! The fun thing about mixed media is that you can get very creative with what materials you use and how you use them. Like, some of the paper I use is old envelope paper that I cut up and color in, mark, or sometimes there is a fun design inside the envelope and I use that.
